If you’re anything like me, there is never a wrong time for a pb&j.
Shakes are neat to make, because you can deviate from them anyway you’d like. More berries, less berries, frozen berries, fresh berries, more ice, less ice, no ice, almond milk, milk, coconut milk, soy, really whatever you prefer.
So here is my recipe for my perfect PB&J Shake…
1 Cup of Almond Milk (I am partial to Blue Diamond Almond Breeze Vanilla Almond Milk)
1 Cup Fresh Strawberries (yes, I do my edible PB&J with Strawberry Jam, preferably my Grandma Margie’s)
1 Heaping Tablespoon of Peanut Butter ( I love love love PB, I have a pretty embarrassingly extensive collection of PB that I hide when I know I’ll have company. I highly recommend using Peanut Butter and Co. or Buff Bake for extra protein!)
1 Serving of Silver Star Nutrition Natural Whey Protein (People, you don’t need a flavor and added sugar, you’re adding the flavor, 23 grams of protein!)
2 Tablespoons of Rolled Oats (I reach for Bob’s Red Mill Organic Whole Grain Rolled Oats)
I add a few ice cubes, totally not necessary, but I just like to drink shakes cold.
Blend it all, and enjoy!
